Arup

Dedicated to sustainable development, Arup is a collective of 20,000 designers, advisors and experts working across 140 countries. Founded to strive for humanity and excellence in everything that we do, we collaborate with our clients and partners, using imagination, technology, and rigour to shape a better world.
Arup has worked in the Midlands for the last 60 years, helping to shape the local landscape. They have provided design and advisory services across projects such as the redevelopment of Coventry Cathedral, Nottingham’s Old Market Square and Birmingham’s Villa Park to the M42, M6 Toll and HS2. Arup played a critical role in supporting city readiness for the highly praised Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, helping to deliver the Alexander Stadium, transport, and infrastructure improvements city-wide, as well as the Perry Barr masterplan, and the Sandwell Aquatics Centre.

Arup is delighted to join the West Midlands delegation at this year’s UKREiiF. We have been active in the region for nearly 60 years, and the recent launch of our international Birmingham office is a testament to this ongoing commitment.
We look forward to bringing our expertise around regeneration, sustainability, devolution, planning & infrastructure reform to the table as we work collaboratively to demonstrate the West Midlands’ capability and capacity for innovation and redevelopment.

In 2024, Arup launched its brand new office in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. One of Arup’s five largest global hubs, and its largest UK office outside London, housing 800 employees and offering more than 90 specialist services UK-wide and internationally. This new location cements Arup’s commitment to Birmingham and the region as a global business destination.
