Market Ask

The Joint Venture will be seeking capital partners to take the scheme forward through a mixture of equity and debt models. They are also engaging with strategic occupiers across a wide variety of innovation related sectors.

The site is one of the country’s best connected development locations with immediate access to world class air, rail, and road infrastructure. Adjacent to Birmingham Airport, which offers daily direct flights to over 150 destinations, Arden Cross will share a dedicated connection to this global hub, as well as direct connections to the NEC campus and Birmingham International railway station.

A key stop on the West Coast Main Line, Birmingham International provides a direct link to Birmingham New Street station, the busiest commuter hub outside London. It also enjoys an existing connection to London Euston of 68 minutes.

Facilitated by the HS2 Interchange Station – Arden Cross will host the first HS2 station outside London. Once operational, travel time between Arden Cross and London Euston will be 38 minutes via HS2. A journey to Manchester Piccadilly would take 37 minutes.

The opportunity is being promoted by Arden Cross Limited. Muse has been identified as the Development Partner and early phases are set to come forward in 2026.

Arden Cross is backed by the West Midlands Combined Authority and supported by the UK Government. Commercial investment opportunities, including in long-term assets, are available.

A medical and technology campus

Arden Cross Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Warwick, with the university exploring opportunities to deliver a Medical & Technology Campus at Arden Cross. The Campus will focus on supporting innovative MedTech reach the market – including through the NHS.

The University of Warwick is a member of the UK Russell Group and is ranked 64th in the world (QS World University Rankings 2023). It is the highest-ranked university in the West Midlands.

The UK central hub

Arden Cross sits within the wider UK Central Hub; an area of Britain with one of the strongest high value manufacturing economies, unrivalled higher educational institutes, and access to a highly skilled workforce.

This brings together several world-class assets, employers, and investors including the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham Business Park, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls Royce, Fujitsu, Birmingham Airport, and HS2.

Approximately £65m of public investment in infrastructure has been secured across the UK Central Hub over the past four years, excluding investment made by partners.

Arden Cross has also been included within a West Midlands ‘Levelling-Up Zone’ across East Birmingham and North Solihull, as part of the region’s Trailblazer Devolution Deal with the UK Government.

This includes provisions for Business Rate retention over 25 years, which can be leveraged to attract additional investment and enable further development over time.
