Global Growth Programme Export 2024

Calling export-focused, aspirational scale-ups across the West Midlands. Benefit from fully funded access to a UK market-leading scale-up and export programme.

Following on from the highly successful export function of our Global Growth Programme in 2022 the West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC), alongside the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), is expanding the programme – a fully funded, 12-month export initiative for tech businesses looking to scale – through a unique partnership with London’s investment promotion agency, London & Partners.

The collaboration sees London & Partners’ ‘Grow Global’ programme extended beyond the capital for the first time, with tech companies from the West Midlands offered exclusive access, and follows the announcement made during our Global West Midlands The Tech That Makes Tomorrow Work event in October.

This new, enhanced GGP Export offering, delivered by London & Partners, WMGC and the WMCA, is a unique opportunity for innovative, internationally ambitious SMEs from the West Midlands to grow and scale their businesses through export.

Grow Global is a world-leading programme with a proven track record of success, having helped over 1,300 scaleups, including household names such as Monzo, Brompton Bicycles, Mr & Mrs Smith and Bloom & Wild in reaching their global expansion goals.

Expanding internationally, from the UK’s fastest-growing tech cluster

As the UK’s leading regional destination for international investment – and our status as the UK’s fastest-growing tech cluster – companies in the West Midlands can innovate, scale and commercialise exciting new products and services at pace.

This new export function of the Global Growth Programme has been designed to allow companies to take their innovations and expand globally, tapping into new markets for further growth opportunities.

It follows on from the success of the Global Growth Programme’s Export function in 2022, which saw West Midlands companies METCLOUD, Energym, Lumien and Complygate chosen to receive a package of fully funded export support.

Build on the foundations established in the West Midlands to take your business to the next level.

As Energym prepares to expand into global territories, the support provided by the Global Growth Programme has enabled us to build a pipeline of commercial opportunities and relationships across our core target markets. The Programme provides access to a team of highly knowledgeable and experienced individuals who can offer support and guidance to help navigate the complexities of becoming export-ready and reaching new worldwide markets.”
