How TXP Scaled Its Technology Services from the West Midlands

The deep pipeline of STEM talent, R&D hubs and the unmatched connectivity of the West Midlands helped TXP scale.

For ambitious firms aiming to scale, the requirement to future-proof digital infrastructure presents both opportunities and challenges. Founded in 2025, TXP empowers scaling businesses to address those challenges through a combination of legacy modernisation, resourcing, and consultancy expertise.

The Challenge

For mid-market organisations, strategic growth is often hindered not by a lack of ambition to modernise, but by the difficulties in achieving cost-effective digital transformation.

With traditional transformation programmes tailored for larger companies, the resulting cost and scale of work leave mid-market organisations with ageing IT and technological infrastructure.

Without modern systems required to address next-generation challenges, over time, the investment gap exposes many mid-market firms to cyber vulnerabilities, productivity stagnation, and a loss of market relevance.

Larger transformation partners’ delivery and cost models are often unsuitable for the mid-market, meaning many organisations of this size are left without the support they desperately need to drive digital transformation. This gap presents us with a huge market opportunity.

The Solution

To address this growing industry gap, two West Midlands businesses came together to deliver globally capable digital transformation services within a competitive cost model.

In May 2025, TXP was established following the merger of Jumar and Concept Resourcing. By combining talent, culture, and expertise, TXP would leverage its technology and consultancy capabilities to drive growth and opportunities for mid-market organisations looking to modernise operations.

The two businesses that became TXP had their roots firmly in the West Midlands. We were keen to maintain that, and our goal was always to keep – and grow – the existing team, as their hard work made the PE investment, merger, and our subsequent success possible.

In choosing to expand operations inside the West Midlands, the merger enabled TXP to retain its local talent pool. It also has a deep commitment to expand by utilising the region’s robust pipeline of tech and professional services talent.

The Impact

From its base in the West Midlands, TXP quickly scaled its workforce, reinforcing both its rapid commercial trajectory and its role within the technology ecosystem of the West Midlands.

Building on this growth, TXP established a second regional base that would anchor the firm closer to the centre of Birmingham.

The location would open the door to new business opportunities within the city’s well-established financial and life science clusters, whilst strengthening TXP’s long-term commitment to the region as a strategic hub for technology delivery and talent development.

Despite the enduring perception of London as the UK’s business and technology hub, there is top class talent elsewhere – especially in the West Midlands. The region is a comparatively untapped source of leading expertise across the tech industry.

Backed by the region’s thriving cross-sectoral ecosystem, TXP’s capabilities have led to forging strong partnerships and client relations with a variety of private and public sector organisations, including The Shipowners Club, Phoebus Software and Beko.

Expanding its expertise in AI, data, and cloud solutions, TXP is perfectly placed to take advantage of exciting new partnerships – expanding its commercial reach and future-proofing ambitions to scale further inside the West Midlands.

TXP’s presence in the region extends beyond commercial activity, with active support for the local community, including sponsorship of the Parkinson’s Pioneers walking football team, originating in Solihull, for women living with Parkinson’s Disease.

Why the West Midlands?

For TXP, the decision to expand in the West Midlands was driven by the strength of its established tech ecosystem and pipeline of industry talent.

The West Midlands offers a credible alternative to some of the UK’s more saturated tech hubs. You can access high-quality office space, strong digital infrastructure and well-connected transport links without the overheads associated with London or the South East.

For scaling businesses, the ability to access high-grade, cost-effective office space situated alongside collaborative tech hubs provides a wide range of opportunities to drive revenue.

Innovation hubs like STEAMhouse and the Aston Business Hub successfully merge industry and academia to accelerate breakthroughs. Reinforcing the region as a strategic gateway for tech-led discoveries and end-to-end product development.

In fostering both industry and academia, the West Midlands has become a key strategic home for emerging leaders and startups – providing firms like TXP with an evergreen supply of exciting collaborative opportunities.

With Birmingham named as the most entrepreneurial city outside of London and a base for over 21,000 startups – the most outside of the capital – TXP has little doubt the West Midlands will remain a powerhouse for innovation, technology, and business.

Upcoming infrastructure projects, including the redevelopment of Birmingham New Street, HS2 and the airport extension, make Birmingham the perfect location to attract top talent from across the tech sector.

The Future

With backing from Aliter Capital, TXP continues to scale, delivering long-term transformation outcomes across the region’s key sectors, including finance, public services, and healthcare. Its growth highlights the West Midlands as a powerful platform for companies looking to access talent, scale rapidly, and compete on a global stage.

Looking ahead, TXP plans to create an additional 100 roles, further strengthening the regional technology talent pipeline while contributing to local economic growth.

We aim to double our headcount over the next three years, creating 100 new jobs in the process. Of course, this job creation will help to boost the local economy and enhance the region’s reputation as an emerging tech hub.
