The West Midlands is an international cyber innovation hub offering extensive research and development for cyber security companies testing, trialling and developing next-generation products. Our Cybersecurity module offers access to cutting-edge R&D facilities including Wolverhampton’s Cyber Quarter, the Midlands’ Centre for Cybersecurity, and the Cyber Research Institute.

Companies can use the Cyber Range to test products in realistic simulated environments, receive hands-on training, and earn industry certifications. We also offer expert research support in key cyber technologies, sponsored office space at one of six leading innovation hubs, and tailored business support encompassing commercial introductions, grant funding, recruitment and securing local investment.

The Global Growth Programme’s Product Design & Digital Solutions package offers businesses a comprehensive support system to enhance their digital and product design capabilities. By leveraging AI and data analysis, website/app development and gamification, businesses can address technical challenges with the expertise of Aston University’s highly skilled students.

The UK gaming market is the 6th largest in the world, with 25% of the country’s gaming output produced in the West Midlands. The Gaming & Digital Creative module enables businesses to tap into the region’s vibrant hub via Warwick Innovation District’s Creative Futures initiative, offering access to a digital skills programme, creative industries network and the University of Warwick’s state-of-the-art eSports Centre.
