West Midlands Mayoral Mission to India 2026
Ahmedabad – Mumbai – Bengaluru
22–26 February 2026
Strengthening trade, investment and long-term partnerships between the West Midlands and India’s leading economic centres.
Richard Parker Mayor of the West Midlands
“With more than £3.5 billion invested in the region over the past decade, the West Midlands is already the UK’s leading destination for Indian investment outside London. Industry leaders such as Tata Group, TVS Motors, Infosys and Mahindra have become not only major employers but long-term partners in our journey of innovation and growth.
As India continues to scale rapidly across sectors that align so closely with the West Midlands’ strengths — from advanced manufacturing and automotive to digital, clean energy and life sciences — we must be at the forefront of those conversations, shaping opportunity rather than reacting to it.”
MISSION OVERVIEW
A mayoral-led delegation will visit Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru to strengthen economic and cultural ties between the West Midlands and India.
Bringing together ambitious firms, world-class universities and regional leaders, the mission is focused on securing investment, expanding trade relationships and building lasting partnerships across priority sectors.
The programme supports the West Midlands Growth Plan and aligns with the UK–India Free Trade Agreement coming into force this year, creating new opportunities for bilateral growth.
